TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian athletes and officials have been resolved to work all out at the Indonesia Badminton Open scheduled on June 12 to 18, secretary genetal of the All Indonesia Badminton Associatio (PBSI), Achmad Budiharto, said on Sunday.

"All preoarations have been made and as the host we hope to make a success both in the organization as well as in achievement. Certainly, all players that have prepared themselves will do their best," he said.

"Preparations have been made maximally with some improvements being made to cover the shortcomings seen in their last performance at Sudirman Cup 2017," he added.

PBSIs head of achievement and improvement affairs Susy Susanti said that although preparations have been maximal Indonesia would only expect one title in the superseries tournament that offers US$1 million in prizes.

"PBSI s target is one title from the mens or mixed doubles events. It does not mean we are undermining others sectors as we also hope for a surprise from them," she said.

Indonesia will field all its best players including the mens double pairs Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo/Marcus Fernaldi Gideon, Angga Pratama/Ricky Karanda Suwardi, badminton mixed double pairs Praveen Jordan/Debby Susanto, Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir, mens single player Sinisuka Ginting and others.
