Indonesia Beat Myanmar, Win Football Bronze Medal in SEA Games

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia beat Myanmar 3-1 to grab the bronze medal in men’s U22 SEA Games football yesterday at Selayang Stadium, Selangor.
In the first half, Indonesia trailed 0-1 after Myanmar scored through Than Paing in the 21st minute. Myanmar dominated the half, playing aggressive attacking football with slick, short passes.
Indonesia tried to develop their game in the second half by subbing in Ezra Walian for Marinus Wanewar who was booked in the first half.

Evan Dimas scored for Indonesia in the 57th minute. His shot ricocheted off an opposition defender leaving goalkeeper Satt Naing rooted to his spot.
Two minutes later Indonesia led through Septian David Maulana goal. David broke into Myanmar defense and fired a shot into the net.
Leading by two goals to one, Indonesia stepped up their attack. Rezaldi Hehanussa made it 3-1 after he lashed a left footed shot outside of the penalty area past the goalkeeper.
The score remained until the final whistle was blown. Indonesia brought home men’s football bronze medal in SEA Games 2017.
